Arts & Culture in the Upper Midwest

I'm sure we can all agree that the highest and best use of the Internet is cat videos. In acknowledgement of that fact, the Walker Museum of Art in Minneapolis* sponsored the Internet Cat Film Festival last weekend. Their screening event had a live audience of more than 10,000. From among a huge number of submissions, the little gem below, Henri 2, Paw de Deux, was awarded the Golden Kitty as the Best Internet Cat Video. I doubt you'll disagree with their decision.

And in case you want to completely wreck your chances of being productive today, or just need a break, here's a link to the full set of the films that were screened at the Festival:

More Cat Videos Than You Can Shake A Stick At

I particularly recommend Les Chats Ninjas, I Am Maru 4, and Talking Cats Play Pattycake, but I'm sure you'll find your own favorites. Enjoy!

*Why you had to hear about this from me is a complete mystery - we have people in Minnesota. What were they doing last weekend that could possibly have been more important than this? Or if they knew about this, why did they try to hide it from the rest of us? What's going on up there?
